Ted tweeted this:
"Congratulations, Jim Beam - your new ads make me puke with a retching violence that actually drinking your bourban has never quite achieved."
Then later he posted this:
"Indeed. RT @scottheisel: Bourbon."
...
"Oh, people who smugly point out spelling mistakes in tweets most likely hastily typed on a telephone, do you feel o.k. about yourselves now?"
"Congratulations, Jim Beam - your new ads make me puke with a retching violence that actually drinking your bourbon has never quite achieved."
"Happy?"

man i thought i didn't have to deal with that fat bastard anymore until the last against me thread. i wrote:
"i live next door to the GAMH and still doubt i would see this show. but, would still host drinks."
and scoot replied:
"Wow, this guy is a cool guy! Hey, everybody! Come look at the cool guy!
-Scott"
http://www.punknews.org/article/35982#1394035
maybe he's the type of guy who laughs at his own jokes? that ted leo shit is funny though. but it's hard to figure out exactly what went down until you visit the twitter page.

twitter confuses me. I'm just not used to the abbreviations or something.

Same. I assume RT is response to? Still confusing.

no idea. Like I try to read Keith Law's twitter for awesome tidbits like "past a diving Jeter" #useful phrase but still don't get most of it.

twitter is by far the worst thing to ever happen (exception: shitmydadsays) in FWP internet problems land, and i can't fucking stand discovering people who i respect(ed) use it.

I think it's kind of cool for sports, like certain writers post breaking news or whatever, but even still, I have never been compelled to join. Like I have never felt like I need to connect with "celebrities" ya know?

I follow Ted because he updates it more than his actual site, and posts stuff like new album title ideas and songs etc. But yeah, if you want to spend half an hour hating the world, find a celebrity on twitter then look at all the desperate peons messaging them, trying to validate their lives by making vague contact with one of the golden race. Utterly soul destroying.

I find twitter great for when I'm getting off work and want to check headlines quickly before I have to drive. I also follow a ton of comic book guys just because it's interesting reading them discuss their business. Well... interesting to me anyway.

instead of making this an anti twitter thread can we make this an anti scoot thread? just because like, the fact that chinatown, mattramone, and i agree on ANYTHING is practically proving the law of large numbers, but the fact that it's the fact that scoot sucks has to count for something.
part of me feels bad for the guy cause it can't be that great of a life, being a fat piece of shit who works at a shitty magazine that caters to teenagers. but then again you sleep in the bed you make, i suppose? also i still can't get over all those threads about ex girl conquest type stories he had.

i feel like i am missing something here. even going back to shit posted on punknews, i never quite understood why everyone hates this guy so much.
i remember that every review he posted would turn into a shitstorm, by and large. and, he always came across as kind of douchey, but not any more than anyone else on the internet. i guess i am just missing some key plot elements.

he's said and done a lot of shit i've just been annoyed about, but i completely lost respect for and/or started to actively protest the existence of this guy when he started a thread on vinyl collective about "posting nudes of your ex girlfriends."
like, there's douchebag guys out there, and then there are classless assholes who deserve to be kicked in the throat. i've bitched and moaned about women to no extent, i've done terrible things but never have i done something so obscene and profoundly disgusting that this fraction of a man (in some respects, in others, three or four men) seems to be able to stomach openly. not to mention his vile endeavors with velveeta.
also, you got to the party late, but the quote on the main page from alternative press calling this board an "internet wasteland" is not a joke. it's in the against me cover story he wrote a few years back. which, if you read the article, is sort of like journalism for hacks meeting fan letters by drunken third graders. anyway.

Okay, I've been here for a while, and I still don't know the velveeta story. Can someone please share?

Scoot is a weasel. BTW: didn't Lawry start the whole calling him Scoot thing on this very messageboard? Doesn't everyone do that now? Are we in on an internet phenomena?
The moment I knew I would never like him:
"Somerset will be your new favorite band." -Scooter Heisel
Fuck.

Probably. Either on the board or in a chat. I think it may have been a typo at first?

hi, scooter. i know you're reading this, because i know you still lurk, and i know that even if you don't, you've got google alerts set up for any and all variations on your name.
anyway, i just wanted to let you know (again) that you give celebrity journalism a bad name. and if ever you're in portland, you're more than welcome to look me up. we can hang out at any spot that has double doors.
unless, of course, you can still squeeze in sideways or you bring a tub of crisco to grease yourself up.

or get all self-righteous about not doing drugs then tell some idiot story about hitting the beer bong with a member of a bad bad radio band backstage at the cleveland clear channel venue. even odds, right?

Scott Heisel is the smelly fat guy standing in the back of the venue yelling "less talk, more rock!"
Also, I will never get tired of this picture.
