Sandra Bullock is said to be circling an adaptation of the Truman Capote biographical feature Every Word Is True. Bullock would play To Kill a Mockingbird author Harper Lee in the story, which focuses on Capote's relationship with two killers on Death Row while he researched the seminal book In Cold Blood. Mark Wahlberg has already signed to play killer Perry Smith, Variety says. British stage stalwart Toby Jones will play Capote.
Michael Keaton has signed on to star opposite Lindsay Lohan in the family picture Herbie: Fully Loaded, based on the 1968 classic The Love Bug. According to reports the story will be set against the background of American NASCAR stock car racing and is expected to begin shooting later this year.
Paul Bettany's rapid rise looks set to continue with reports that he is in talks to star opposite Harrison Ford in the kidnapping thriller The Wrong Element. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bettany would play a criminal mastermind who forces Ford's security expert to steal from a bank to meet a ransom demand. The English actor burst on to the scene in 2001 playing a violent warlord in Gangster No 1, and went on to star opposite Russell Crowe in both A Beautiful Mind and Master and Commander, then opposite Nicole Kidman in Dogville. He will star later this year with Kirsten Dunst in Working Title's romantic comedy Wimbledon.
