In brief: Carrey and Stiller set for clone comedy

Jim Carrey is to team up with Ben Stiller in Used Guys, a comedy about two male clones living in a world run by women. When superior models are introduced, Carrey and Stiller make a bee line for a testosterone-refuge called Mantopia. Directed by Meet the Parents's Jay Roach, filming is scheduled for next spring.

Joe Pesci is to play a mafia boss in Robert De Niro's new movie, The Good Shepherd, about the life of a CIA spymaster. Based on the life of agency co-founder James Jesus Angleton, the film will star Matt Damon in the lead role, together with William Hurt, John Turturro, Angelina Jolie and Michael Gambon. The film will be released in December 2006.

Elijah Wood is joining Anthony Hopkins and Demi Moore in the cast of Bobby, about the night Robert F Kennedy was shot dead at the Los Angeles Ambassador Hotel in 1968. The Lord of the Rings actor will play a young man who falls in love, Hopkins the hotel's porter, while Moore will be a dancer. Bobby is written and directed by brat-packer Emilio Estevez. Producers hope to begin filming before the hotel is torn down at the end of the year.
